150g (1 cup) raw cashews Garlic
1 onion (chopped and caramelised)
½ Nutritional Yeast
1/2 cup Coconut milk
1 juice of lemon (4-5 tablespoons)
1 tbsp tahini
Salt to season
2 tbsp olive oil (or oil of your choice)
1 cup water
2 tbsps + 1 tsp agar POWDER (or 3-4 tbsps agar FLAKES)
1.5 tbsp Smoked paprika
Mix all ingredients for plain cheese (other than agar powder and water) in the food processor and blitz till very smooth. Season with salt.
Boil cold water and agar powder in a pot, simmer for 1 minute and turn off heat.
Pour the hot agar solution in the cheese mixture and blitz thoroughly.
Pour the mixture in a greased container and chill in the fridge for 4-5 hour or overnight.
Follow the steps till step 3. Grease the container and sprinkle a layer of chopped nuts at the bottom. Add smoked paprika in the cheese mixture and mix well. Pour the mixture in the container and chill in the fridge for 4-5 hour or overnight. Once of of the fridge, sprinkle chopped chives on top.
